Enso Village, a Zen-inspired senior living community developed by The Kendal Corporation and the San Francisco Zen Center, recently welcomed John McEntee as Facilities Director. In this role, John will oversee a team that maintains the Enso Village community, including residents’ homes and the grounds. Specific responsibilities include overseeing long range capital planning for the community, overseeing the maintenance, installation, upkeep and repair for all physical building and grounds areas, ensuring compliance with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and California environmental regulations, and managing and developing maintenance and housekeeping teams.
“John brings a proven history of strengthening facility function through team building and operations development. We are pleased to welcome him to the Enso Village team, where he will ensure the efficient operation and functionality of campus,” shared Pamela Coleman, Vice President of People and Culture at Enso Village.
John brings over 15 years of experience in facilities and maintenance operations and over 30 years of experience as a licensed California contractor in construction and remodeling. Before joining Enso Village, John was the Director of Facilities with a homelessness advocacy organization in Petaluma, California. He is a Certified Facility Manager, a credential issued by the International Facility Management Association (IFMA).
“I have a passion for delivering services and results that go beyond an organization’s expectation,” shared John, “I’m excited to bring my skillset in facilities management and technical services to Enso Village.”
John brings a demonstrated talent for managing major projects with a pragmatic and focused approach to effectively lead large and small-scale construction, renovations and general maintenance projects. He currently lives in Ukiah with his wife and one of his two daughters, and he enjoys woodworking, stained glass and anything involving new technology.
