Enso Village, a Zen-inspired senior living community developed by The Kendal Corporation and the San Francisco Zen Center, has named Rosemary C. Jordan as Chief Executive Officer.

“Following an extensive, deliberate search, we couldn’t be happier with our selection of Rosemary to lead our community moving forward,” said Rob Lippincott, Chair of the Kendal at Sonoma Board, which oversees Enso Village. “The board is fully confident she will bring to bear her diverse skillsets and vast experience for the betterment of both residents and our team members.”

As CEO of the newest affiliated community in the Kendal System, Rosemary will oversee the completion of the older adult community and begin shaping the vision for the campus as residents move in starting in 2023.

“We are absolutely thrilled that Rosemary will be joining the Kendal family and leading Enso Village as our vision manifests into a living community,” said Sean Kelly, President and CEO of The Kendal Corporation. “This community, which has been in development for some time, will enable a way of life that embodies the values and cultures of Kendal and Zen together. We are so confident in Rosemary as a professional leader of this dynamic organization. At the same time, I’m inspired by Rosemary’s clear alignment with what it is that we all have been hoping and planning for: a place that embraces true community and all that may be possible in life, at any age.”

“The culture and identity of Enso Village has taken shape as its physical campus is being constructed, and it was vital that we find a leader who embodies the values that we hold close,” added Susan O’Connell, Spiritual Director of Enso Village. “We are impressed by Rosemary’s track record of success and know she will champion inclusivity, sustainability and collaboration – just a few of the shared values between Kendal and the San Francisco Zen Center – and bring to life Enso as it was imagined.”

Rosemary is a seasoned executive with experience leading and managing healthcare organizations. Most recently she served as CEO of Pacific Vision Foundation, a four-entity health enterprise, where she led a suite of organizations to increase operational efficiency and oversaw substantial revenue growth. Previously, Rosemary also held positions with Elder Care Alliance, a senior living and post-acute care organization, where she focused on business development and strategic growth.

She earned a master’s degree in public health and in public policy from the University of California at Berkeley. She received her undergraduate degree from Vassar College.

“I am honored to lead Enso Village as it forges into a new frontier in the field of senior living. Enso is a remarkable new community blending the high-quality senior living experience and aging services for which Kendal is known, with the spiritually healing and peaceful presence found at the San Francisco Zen Center. I am excited to be part of this community and to soon meet residents,” said Rosemary.
